About NSS
Based in East Sussex in the United Kingdom, we are a small, well-established group of around 24 singers. Though the choir is an auditioned group, the singers have a variety of experience, some of them are professionally trained singers, others quite new to the choral world. However, we all share a passion for excellence and high-quality music making. The main focus of the group is choral music in its many guises but there are opportunities for step-out solos with the group as well. We have a wide and eclectic repertoire including: folk, part songs and madrigals, secular and religious music, opera, operetta, oratorio and jazz. Over the past few years concerts have included composers ranging from Vivaldi to Vaughan Williams, Tavener to Todd and Rachmaninov to Rutter. Sebastian is a conductor, singer and teacher and has been Musical Director of New Sussex Singers since February 2018.
